The aim of this guide is to outline when someone might need decision-making support, advocacy and substitute decision-making. The information is particularly for people with significant cognitive disability who are using the NDIS or who are applying for the NDIS. It covers each of the decision-making stages that participants go through with the NDIS.

Victorian Government – Delivering choice and control to people with a disability 

The Victorian government will keep providing supports for people who don’t qualify for the NDIS. This page has information about the Department of Health and Human Services’ disability services.

Young People in Nursing Homes National Alliance

Young People (under the age of 65) with high care needs who live in nursing homes are eligible for NDIS funding.
