Victorian Seniors urged to get a Will this October 2019

More than half of all Victorians don’t have a Will in place, leaving their loved ones without any idea of their preferences for how to manage their assets and sentimental items after they die.

While most Victorians aged over 60 have a Will, many of these are potentially out of date and don’t reflect a person’s current circumstances.

It’s reasonably straightforward to set up a Will – and not as arduous or expensive as some may think. Our research also shows our clients feel a sense of relief after they have completed their Will.

That’s why in October, as part of the Victorian Seniors Festival 2019, we offered a half price Will appointments to all Victorians over 60.

“Your Will is often your last message to your loved ones. No matter how straightforward your circumstances, having a Will ensures everyone understands what you’d like done with your estate”, says State Trustees CEO, Matt Carrick.

“Only half of all Victorians have a Will in place. At State Trustees we know that an up to date Will is the best way to ensure that everything Victorians have built over their lifetimes can be shared just the way they want it.”
