What is the State Trustees Australia Foundation?
Founded in 1994, the State Trustees Australia Foundation positively impacts our community through encouraging giving in perpetuity and engaging in effective philanthropy.
The Foundation is a perpetual public ancillary fund, which enables Victorians to support eligible charities in a lasting way.
Through the Foundation, you can donate in perpetuity to a charitable purpose close to your heart. Alternatively, you can choose to support general charitable purposes and, at present, the Foundation has a particular focus on supporting Victorians experiencing disadvantage because of ageing, disability, or mental ill-health.
The majority of its funds under management are from gifts in wills made from community members. Each year, the Foundation distributes money to charitable organisations based on the wishes of donors and bequestors. A portion of this funding forms the basis of the Granting Programs.
