  • Same old heart, brand new style: free community day
  • 11am – 2pm, Saturday 15 November
  • McNab Ave, Footscray (next to Footscray Station and State Trustees)

With the cranes gone and the construction fences packed away, we celebrate the emergence of a new and improved Footscray.

The Regional Rail Project is moving out of town following three years of work on laying new tracks, creating an upgraded train station, and delivering better connectivity for Victorians.

The new office building at 1 McNab Avenue has transformed Footscray’s skyline and introduced thousands of office workers from high profile State Government agencies, such as State Trustees and City West Water, to Footscray’s unique culture.

Footscray Plaza has been transformed, with a refurbished Kmart and Coles and hundreds of residents now calling central Footscray home.

Footscray Celebrates is proudly presented by Maribyrnong City Council, Regional Rail Link, Metro and State Trustees.

Performers include The Thomcords, Pataphysics, Ileini and Gabs from Massive, Byron Siren, Tommy Castles, Snuff Puppets and Art of Play with Women’s Circus.
