What is Executor Assist?

12 September 2024

Executor Assist is a service designed to support executors or senior next of kin who are administering a deceased estate. While the executor retains their role as the legal personal representative, executor assist acts as their agent to only obtain the Grant of Probate or Letters of Administration and assist with some secondary tasks upon the executor’s request, such as estate tax returns or genealogy to find beneficiaries.

Executor Assist helps with:

  • Obtaining probate or letters of administration by Initiating and managing the grant application process.
  • Assisting with the estate’s preliminary tax returns.
  • Conducting genealogy research to locate beneficiaries.
