Introduction by the Managing Director

Welcome to the State Trustees’ website. Whether this is your first visit or you are a regular visitor, I encourage you to take a moment to look around the site and contact us if you have any questions about products or services.
State Trustees has played an important role in the lives of Victorians since 1939, helping people with their financial needs so they can make the most of their opportunities and protect the important things in their lives.
You may know State Trustees as the largest administrator of deceased estates in Victoria, or for our reputation in preparing Wills (we write more Wills than any other organisation in Victoria). However, you may not be aware that State Trustees also offers expert legal estate planning advice and astute financial planning for all Victorians, regardless of background or personal circumstances.
At State Trustees our wholehearted approach is unique in that we have always balanced our commercial enterprise with protecting the financial and legal affairs of vulnerable Victorians who may be unable to do so themselves. We act as administrator for almost 9,000 people in Victoria with a disability, illness or injury who need help managing their affairs.
As part of our mission to help all Victorians reach their full potential, State Trustees acts as an advocate for vulnerable groups in the community, as well as embarking on a number of projects to help instigate change to benefit our community.
One important area where State Trustees is taking a leading advocacy role is the prevention of financial elder abuse. Financial exploitation of older people is emerging as a mainstream issue in Australia.
Since 2002, State Trustees has also hosted an annual art exhibition, connected™, which features the artworks of people with a disability or experience of mental illness. The exhibition provides artists with a creative forum to present and market their artwork within a supportive environment that celebrates their ability and connects them with the broader community.
We welcome your enquiries and look forward to helping you identify State Trustee services that suit your needs.
Yours sincerely,

Tony Fitzgerald
Managing Director
