Stakeholder Research
In 2008, State Trustees commissioned research into a core stakeholder network, focussed in the Represented Persons and community segments of our business. The study assessed the quality of relationships between State Trustees and individual stakeholders, as well as between stakeholders themselves.
The research findings have helped us consider our stakeholders as part of a myriad of networks, which change depending on issues, rather than simply as organisations on their own.
We also learned about the level of social capital we enjoy with our stakeholders. Social capital is a combination of stakeholders’ belief in our shared goals and their level of trust in State Trustees.
We will commission this research on a triennial basis, to measure our performance against the benchmarks detailed in the report, some of which are highlighted in the Overview of Stakeholder Research 2008. The results will help us to keep our stakeholder engagement strategy relevant and be a valuable source of information about our stakeholders’ views for our corporate planning.
