Grant application - Private Charitable Trusts
Grants from the private charitable trust are determined by the trustees subject to any direction in the trust deed.
Before submitting a grant application, it is important that you read the guidelines for grant applications for funding for the private charitable trust or fund, to which you are making an application. All applications must be completed on the application form provided.
To be eligible for a grant, you must meet all of the criteria set out in the application form and guidelines. All requested information should be provided with your application.
Lucas Marchio Fund
The Lucas Marchio Fund was established to benefit a young boy named Lucas, who has neuroblastoma, a severe childhood cancer. Neuroblastoma is the most common solid tumour cancer in children under five.
Like other children with neuroblastoma, Lucas is currently undergoing various forms of treatment in Australia for his illness, including oxygen therapy and chemotherapy. To date, the treatment in Australia is expensive and often of limited benefit.
Treatments at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, in the United States and Germany have proven effective in treating cases of neuroblastoma. Lucas urgently requires this expensive treatment. However, as Lucas’s family do not have the financial resources to pay for this life saving treatment.

John and Anna Woods Memorial Fund
The John and Anna Woods Memorial Fund (previously known as the Ethel May Woods trust), was established to apply funds towards the welfare of Aboriginal children under the age of eighteen years.- Due to a large number of projects already supported this year, the John and Anna Woods Memorial Fund will not be taking any grant applications until further notice.
The Scholarship Fund of Octavia Simons
The purpose of the Fund is to award scholarship funds to children whom are wards of the State of Victoria in a foster care situation. The funds are provided for the purpose of providing additional education, other than the standard public education, which would normally be available to such children in foster care. Funding is not available for the purpose of religious study.Applications to be submitted to State Trustees Limited by the Department of Human Services Case Worker in the State of Victoria.
