State Trustees Charity Ball 2011 a huge success
The State Trustees Charity Ball 2011 was held on Saturday 25 June in the Grand Ballroom at Sofitel Melbourne on Collins. More than 460 attendees enjoyed a great night of fine food and entertainment, and helped to raise a grand total of $87,168 for our charity partner Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria.
State Trustees partnered with Alzheimer’s Australia Victoria again in 2011, with funds raised being directed towards supporting their Volunteers Training Program.
Award-winning stand-up comic, TV sketch show star, broadcaster, director, actor and writer Damian Callinan was a very popular MC on the night, and hosted proceedings with a humorous edge. Ever popular BigCityBeat kept guests entertained and on the dance floor all evening.
Special guest Ita Buttrose, National President of Alzheimer’s Australia shared stories of her family experiences with Alzheimer’s Disease and was warmly welcomed and much appreciated by the assembled guests.
