Homelessness
Our Intensive Needs Team provides crisis intervention and support to some of Victoria’s most vulnerable citizens. Many are often homeless and unwell, have little or no support, and no one else to whom they can turn. Often itinerant, neglected and stigmatised as a ‘disturbance’ or even menace within the community, these clients do not engage with any other service agency.
Located at Little Bourke Street, our team assists clients in crisis to re-connect with various social agencies and other services, helping to ensure that they are adequately housed and have access to the basic necessities of life.

State Trustees' Intensive Needs Team, accepting an award for Contribution to the Community
State Trustees is often the last service with which our clients engage, and as such, is often the last avenue that can link them to the support they need.
Our team helps up to 500 clients, on average, each week and received an award from the City of Melbourne for its work. This team leads our engagement with services working to reduce homelessness, participates in forums and works on specific issues for our clients with government and community agencies.
